Marvell Acquires Polariton, Expands Photonics Push for AI Data Centers
Marvell has acquired Polariton, a Swiss startup, as data-center performance becomes more of an optical problem and AI scale depends on how fast data moves, not just how it computes. The acquisition integrates Polariton's photonics innovation into Marvell and was also described as strengthening the company's vertical integration around 3.2T-class technology while reviving plasmonics to meet ultra-high-bandwidth demand.
