Microsoft-OpenAI Deal Reportedly Excludes Acquired Technology

Microsoft Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella and OpenAI Chief Executive Officer Sam Altman recently held several meetings after disagreements over OpenAI's Amazon Web Services deal, according to reports. Those talks led to new concessions in the companies' partnership agreement, the reports said.

Under the revised terms, Microsoft's agreement with OpenAI reportedly does not cover technology the AI company gains through acquisitions, giving OpenAI more flexibility outside the partnership.
