Meta Prepares to Unwind Manus Acquisition After China Blocks Deal
Meta is preparing to unwind its acquisition of Manus after China banned the transaction on Monday, according to people familiar with the matter. China blocked the $2 billion deal after a security review, forcing the companies to begin reversing a transaction that had already been completed.
The companies have several weeks to undo the deal and restore Manus's Chinese assets to their original state, some of the people said. The reversal may be complicated because Manus investors have already received their returns.
