Shipping Monitor Says Most of 25 Iranian Oil Tankers Reach Destinations

Shipping monitor TankerTrackers said 25 tankers carrying Iranian crude departed Iran in April. It said seven were quickly redirected back to Iran by the US from the Arabian Sea or Indian Ocean, two were seized in the Indian Ocean, and one reached the Far East.

TankerTrackers later clarified that most of the other 15 tankers, which left in the first half of April, have reached their intended destinations or rendezvous points. In a separate post, it said the tanker HUGE departed with three other NITC tankers and was sighted off Chabahar, Iran, on the morning the US blockade line commenced; the other three later returned to Iran after being redirected by the US Navy.
