Apple Forecasts 14%-17% Revenue Growth After Q2 Beat

businesscompany-earnings 22 posts · 12 accounts

Apple reported fiscal second-quarter revenue of $111.18 billion and earnings of $2.01 a share, both above estimates, and authorized up to $100 billion in share repurchases while raising its dividend. The company said iPhone revenue was $56.9 billion and services revenue $30.98 billion, and Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook called it Apple’s best March quarter ever, with a March-quarter revenue record for the iPhone driven by demand for the iPhone 17 lineup.

For the fiscal third quarter, Apple forecast revenue growth of 14% to 17%, ahead of the 9.1% estimate. Cook said the March quarter was supply constrained mainly on the iPhone because of limited availability of advanced-node chips and, to a lesser extent, on Macs; Apple expects most June-quarter constraints on several Mac models, including the Mac mini, Mac Studio and Mac Neo, and said memory costs will increasingly affect the business beyond June.
