Roku Beats Estimates, Forecasts $5.5 Billion 2026 Revenue
Roku reported first-quarter revenue of $1.25 billion, up 22% from a year earlier and above a $1.2 billion estimate, while earnings per share of 57 cents exceeded a 32-cent estimate. Platform revenue rose 28% to $1.13 billion, driven by advertising and subscriptions, helping net income reach $86 million, gross profit increase 27% to $565 million and adjusted EBITDA jump 165% to $148 million.
For the second quarter, Roku forecast revenue of $1.3 billion, gross profit of $580 million and adjusted EBITDA of $170 million. For full-year 2026, it projected $5.5 billion in revenue, including $5.0 billion of platform revenue and $675 million of adjusted EBITDA, after advertising revenue rose 27% to $613 million and subscriptions revenue increased 30% to $519 million in the quarter. Roku repurchased $100 million of shares in the period, bringing total buybacks since the third quarter to $250 million under a $400 million program.
