The U.S. government awarded aerospace startup JetZero a $3 billion preliminary deal to begin production of its blended-wing commercial aircraft.
The funding positions JetZero to challenge Boeing, the country’s sole remaining manufacturer of commercial airliners. The agreement provides the startup with the capital needed to move its blended-wing design into the manufacturing phase.
