FBI Seizes $15.2 Billion in Crackdown on Scam Centers, Expands Effort Worldwide
FBI Director Kash Patel said Operation Blackout, led by the FBI, seized $15.2 billion in 16 months, arrested hundreds of people across multiple continents, dismantled dozens of scam centers and freed thousands of trafficked workers. He also said the FBI is expanding the fraud crackdown worldwide against scam networks targeting Americans.
Patel wrapped up a tour across Asia this week and called for coordinated international action against transnational scam syndicates operating in the region, Khmer Times said.
