CME Group Launches Single-Stock Futures on 50 Largest U.S. Stocks and ETFs
CME Group has launched single-stock futures contracts in the United States, covering more than 50 of the largest and most liquid stocks and exchange-traded funds. The new products allow traders to gain leveraged exposure to individual company names without owning the underlying shares or paying borrowing fees.
The expansion, effective July 27, broadens the derivatives exchange's U.S. coverage and revives a market that previously failed to gain traction. Contracts will trade nearly around the clock, providing pricing access to investors outside standard equity market hours.
