Kimi K3 Launches on Modal, Baseten, and AMD Cloud Platforms With 2.8 Trillion Parameters
Moonshot AI’s Kimi K3, a 2.8 trillion parameter model, is now available on inference platforms from Modal, Baseten, DigitalOcean, and AMD through a partnership with vLLM. The integration makes the model accessible as a scalable production API and on AMD Instinct GPUs without requiring infrastructure management from the user.
The rollout expands commercial access for the model following its July 27 launch. Separately, a 1-bit quantized version has been compressed to run on consumer MacBook Pro laptops, according to developer tests, providing a local deployment path outside the cloud infrastructure ecosystem.
