Chipotle Raises Annual Guidance as Q2 Revenue Jumps to $3.3 Billion
Chipotle reported second-quarter revenue of $3.3 billion, a 9.3% increase, and raised annual guidance following the return of its honey chicken and a revamped rewards program.
Diluted earnings per share remained flat at $0.32, with adjusted EPS at $0.33 versus a $0.32 estimate. Restaurant-level operating margins contracted to 25.2% from 27.4%, and the company announced it will bring back mystery shoppers to monitor service quality. Shares gained more than 6% in after-hours trading.
