Nvidia Puts Vera Rubin AI Racks Into Full Production, Sets 1,000 Daily Capacity
Nvidia confirmed its Vera Rubin AI computing platform is in full production, with major customers including CoreWeave, Microsoft, SpaceX, Tesla and Nebius already testing the hardware. The company stated it will eventually manufacture up to 1,000 rack-scale Vera Rubin NVL72 supercomputers daily, significantly scaling output capacity for next-generation artificial intelligence infrastructure.
Nvidia also released performance data showing the new rack system delivers 10x higher throughput per megawatt than its Grace Blackwell predecessor, driven by a seven-chip design and chiller-free liquid cooling. The announcement included details on a new Vera central processing unit, which the company said outperforms AMD Turin processors in single-thread performance and was already shipped in June to OpenAI and Anthropic. Early volume manufacturing marks a transition from development to commercial deployment, though actual shipment volumes and customer expansion will determine the platform’s market penetration.
