Nvidia Supplier Wistron Launches $700 Million Texas Plant to Produce Tens of Thousands of AI Boards Monthly as Huang Cites Resource Shortages
Nvidia supplier Wistron opened a $700 million manufacturing facility in Texas to produce the chipmaker’s GB300 systems and Vera Rubin racks, scaling output to tens of thousands of boards per month.
The facility comes as Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said the deployment of artificial intelligence infrastructure is being held back by shortages of chips, memory, land, power and construction workers. Huang stated the company faces constraints across every physical dimension of the supply chain but called the bottleneck positive.
