Mobileye CEO Shashua Steps Down After 27 Years, Raises 2026 Outlook on Israel Grant
Mobileye co-founder Amnon Shashua will step down as chief executive officer once a successor is appointed, concluding a 27-year tenure at the autonomous driving company. The board has offered Shashua the chairman role, directing his focus toward long-term research and technology while the company prepares for a new growth phase in robotaxi services and advanced driver assistance systems.
The leadership change accompanies second-quarter results showing revenue of $508 million, a figure roughly flat year over year but above analyst estimates. Adjusted earnings per share rose to $0.19, with the company raising its full-year revenue guidance to $1.97 billion to $2.02 billion. Management noted the profit guide and operating margin expansion were heavily supported by a $93 million non-GAAP research and development incentive grant from Israel, which partially offset a 303 bps decline in gross margin caused by lower Chinese vehicle pricing and a higher volume of lower-margin hardware.
