Supermicro Books Over $60 Billion in Orders and Beats Q4 Margin Guidance to 15% to 17%
Supermicro booked over $60 billion in new orders during the fourth quarter, pushing the backlog to a record level. The company also reported preliminary gross margins of 15% to 17%, significantly beating the prior 8.2% to 8.4% guidance on a favorable product and customer mix.
Revenue is expected near the low end of the $11 billion to $12.5 billion guidance range. Final results and an earnings call are scheduled for Aug. 11, with the board reviewing export-control issues and a note that some orders may face delays or cancellations.
