Nvidia Prepays Amkor $1.5 Billion to Expand Arizona Chip Packaging Facility
Nvidia will prepay Amkor $1.5 billion under a multi-year advanced packaging and development agreement, according to the supplier.
The funding will finance the expansion of Amkor’s packaging and test capacity at its Arizona campus for next-generation AI and accelerated computing platforms. Shares of the chip packaging maker rose 16% to nearly 22% in after-hours trading.
