U.S. Air Force Raises Space Launch Contract Ceiling to $17 Billion, More Than Tripling Original Amount
The U.S. Air Force raised the ceiling for National Security Space Launch Phase 3 Lane 1 contracts to $17 billion from $5.6 billion, expanding the program's award pool by $11.4 billion.
Space Systems Command issued the contract modifications without obligating funds, directing that awards be handled at the task-order level. Eligible launch providers include SpaceX, Rocket Lab, Blue Origin and United Launch Alliance.
