US Operates More Than 20 Warships and Hundreds of Aircraft Across Middle East
The US military said more than 20 Navy warships and hundreds of military aircraft are operating across the Middle East as US Central Command launched another round of strikes on Iran.
CENTCOM said the strikes began at 3 p.m. ET to degrade Iranian capabilities used to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, and that a naval blockade of Iranian ports and coastal areas would take effect at 4 p.m. ET. Iranian state media later reported explosions in Bandar Abbas and Sirik.
