Hyundai Motor Group and its affiliates are acquiring the remaining 9.9% stake in Boston Dynamics held by SoftBank, giving the carmaker sole ownership of the robotics business.
The transaction leaves the Japanese investor with no remaining shares in the unit and positions the group to accelerate the commercialization of its Atlas humanoid robot.
