Nvidia Partners With Noetra on 140MW Japan Data Center Powered by 27,500 Rubin Chips
Nvidia partners with Japan’s METI-backed Noetra to build a 140MW data center in Japan powered by 13,750 Vera processors and 27,500 Rubin graphics chips. The facility is scheduled to go online in June 2028.
The announcement accompanies broader robotics alliances with Fujitsu, Fanuc, Yaskawa Electric and Kawasaki Heavy Industries, who are developing a physical AI platform for industrial automation. The project supports Japan’s FRONTia initiative, with the government targeting more than 30% of the global robotics market, valued at roughly $133 billion, by 2040.
