Thinking Machines Inkling Tops Open-Weight AI Ranking With 79.5% on ARC Benchmark

Thinking Machines’ Inkling has posted independently verified results on the ARC-AGI benchmark, scoring 79.5% on ARC-AGI-1 and 36.5% on ARC-AGI-2. The results rank the open-weight model as the highest-performing AI of its kind on both tasks, arriving at a cost of $0.30 to $0.64 per task.

The benchmark announcement adds a verified performance measure to the model's initial release, but the ranking is expected to face new competition. Open-source weights for the Kimi-K3 AI model are anticipated to arrive in roughly two weeks, which would challenge Inkling’s current standing.
