Together AI Launches Thinking Machines Inkling, a 975B Parameter Model
Together AI launched its inference service for Inkling, the first open-weight artificial intelligence model from Thinking Machines Lab. The model features 975B parameters in a mixture-of-experts architecture and processes text, image, and audio inputs with controllable inference effort.
The startup, founded by former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati, released the model weights for developers to download and modify, with fine-tuning available on its Tinker platform. The system also received support in Claude Code and on the Together AI network, with a smaller preview version launching alongside the main release.
