TSMC Q2 Revenue Surges 36% to Record $40.1 Billion on Strong AI Chip Demand
TSMC’s second-quarter revenue rose 36% year over year to a record NT$1.27 trillion ($40.1 billion), landing at the top end of its $39 billion to $40.2 billion guidance range. The quarter’s performance was driven by sustained demand for artificial intelligence chip production.
June sales set a new monthly record of NT$442.68 billion, a 67.9% increase from a year earlier and a 6.2% rise from May. The quarterly total was calculated from consolidated April through June monthly revenue rather than a formal company earnings announcement. June’s expansion marked the company’s strongest year-over-year growth rate since January 2015.
