Jio Platforms, Reliance Industries Ltd.'s digital unit and India's largest wireless operator and digital service provider, filed draft papers on Friday for an initial public offering of up to 270 million shares. Sources told Reuters the deal is sized at about $3.8 billion and could become India's biggest IPO.
Mukesh Ambani had earlier said the company would submit its listing documents by Friday. Jio serves nearly 525 million subscribers and counts Meta, Alphabet and KKR among its backers.
