BlackRock’s BITA Bitcoin Covered-Call ETF Launches Tuesday, Targets 15%-25% Yield

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF, ticker BITA, is set to begin trading Tuesday after going effective Friday afternoon, with Nasdaq confirming the launch, according to Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas. The fund is targeting a 15% to 25% annual yield while seeking to capture at least 70% of Bitcoin’s upside.

BlackRock also filed an amended registration for the bitcoin covered-call ETF setting a 0.65% fee, below leading covered-call fund peers. The structure would offer investors an income-focused way to gain exposure to Bitcoin rather than a fund designed solely to track the token’s price.
