Iran Restarts Oil Exports With $1.6 Billion Shipped in Four Days
Iran has restarted crude exports, with estimates cited on Saturday putting shipments at about $1.6 billion over the past four days and another 10 tankers carrying 20 million barrels on the move. Satellite images showed multiple supertankers loading at Iran's Kharg Island terminal, while other Iranian tankers returning from China and other East Asian ports were docked there with AIS vessel-tracking signals switched on.
The renewed sailings follow a US-Iran memorandum that the Wall Street Journal reported could allow Tehran to resume oil and fuel sales, potentially restoring more than $60 billion a year in revenue. Several oil-laden Iranian tankers had already left port and crossed the US naval blockade line earlier this week, and Iran has said maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz will return to normal over a specified period under a mechanism to be developed with Oman.

@gbrew24Per Kpler tracking, this is accurate. Two VLCCs and one Suezmax tanker exited the blockade zone and are now steaming into the Indian Ocean. A fourth was leaving Chahabar port but has not updated its location via AIS.

@gbrew24Fwiw I count at least 5 laden tankers inside the Gulf (there are probably more) that have not shifted position. If the US was *fully* ending the blockade, an exodus would be expected. More likely this is a *partial* dropping of the blocka
