Saylor Hints Strategy May Have Bought More Bitcoin After 32-BTC Sale
Michael Saylor hinted that Strategy may have added to its Bitcoin holdings, writing "Still adding dots" in a message that renewed expectations of another purchase. The latest signal shifts attention back to potential buying after the company recently explained why it sold 32 Bitcoin.
Chief Executive Officer Phong Le said in a June 11 CNBC interview that the 32-Bitcoin sale was mainly intended to test Strategy's internal selling process, "inoculate the market" and generate tax losses that can offset related taxes. Le said the sale was not meant to fund dividends because the company has other financing channels, while Saylor separately said his "never sell your Bitcoin" remark was directed at individuals rather than the company.
