Bitcoin Falls Below $71,000 as Global Crypto ETP Outflows Reach $1.7 Billion
Bitcoin fell below $71,000 after weakening near $72,000 earlier, while more than $110 million of crypto positions were liquidated in the past hour, including nearly $91 million of Bitcoin longs. Analysts pointed to ETF outflows, stalled whale buying and macro uncertainty as pressures on prices.
US-based funds drove $1.7 billion of global crypto exchange-traded product outflows, extending a redemption streak to three weeks, according to CoinShares. Separate ETF flow data showed Bitcoin ETFs recorded net outflows of about $139.4 million on the day and $1.39 billion over seven days, while Ethereum ETFs lost $55 million on the day and Solana ETFs posted modest inflows.
