Salesforce has agreed to acquire Contentful, the German software company behind an API-driven content management system that lets developers and content teams manage content centrally and distribute it across digital channels and devices. The acquisition price was not disclosed, and Contentful last raised funding at a $3 billion valuation in 2021.
Contentful was founded in 2014 by Sascha Konietzke and Paolo Negri and is now led by Karthik Rau. Early investors include Point Nine and Balderton.
