Nvidia Releases Cosmos 3, Tops Open-Weight Text-to-Image, Image-to-Video Rankings

Nvidia released Cosmos 3, an open omnimodal world-model family for physical AI that combines vision reasoning, world generation and action generation, and its fine-tuned Cosmos3-Super variants ranked No. 1 among open-weight models on Artificial Analysis in text-to-image and image-to-video. Nvidia and benchmark posts described the system as a Mixture-of-Transformers architecture pairing an autoregressive reasoner with a diffusion generator across language, image, video, audio and action.

The company is positioning Cosmos 3 for robotics and autonomous systems, and said it also leads open-model benchmarks including Physics-IQ, PAI-Bench, R-Bench, RoboLab, RoboArena, VANTAGE-Bench and TAR. Nvidia also launched the Cosmos Coalition, with Runway among the founding members, to build and open-source frontier world models for physical AI; Artificial Analysis said reproducing the leaderboard results requires structured JSON prompts and prompt upsampling, with first- and third-party APIs expected in the next few weeks.
