Indonesia to Route Coal, Palm Oil Export Documents Through State Firm From June 1
Indonesia is pushing ahead with plans to centralize exports of key commodities from June 1. Coal, palm oil and ferro alloy producers are expected to begin submitting export-related documents to newly formed state-owned PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia, Coordinating Economic Minister Airlangga Hartarto said at a press briefing in Jakarta on Sunday.
The move casts a cloud of regulatory uncertainty over natural resource producers as the government shifts export-related documentation for those commodities to the new entity.
