HYPE ETFs Draw $72 Million in First Week as Bitcoin, Ether Products Lose $1.2 Billion
HYPE exchange-traded funds drew $72 million in their first week as investors shifted money away from bitcoin and ether products, which recorded about $1 billion and $215 million of outflows, respectively. The reshuffling comes after U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs shed $1.26 billion last week, their worst weekly outflow since late January, as bitcoin slipped below $75,000.
Bitcoin demand has fallen to its most bearish level of the year, according to CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost. Even so, some analysts said the institutional bid remains intact and that the recent ETF withdrawals point to rotation rather than a broader exit from crypto, while Santiment described the $1.26 billion in bitcoin ETF outflows over five sessions as a contrarian buy signal historically associated with accumulation rather than panic.
