SoFi Technologies has made its U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin, SoFiUSD, available in the SoFi app to its 14.7 million members, allowing users to buy, sell, hold and convert the token. The stablecoin initially runs on the Ethereum and Solana blockchains.

SoFi said the launch marks the first stablecoin issued by a U.S. nationally chartered bank to be embedded in a retail banking interface. The company said it plans in the coming weeks to add FDIC-insured tokenized deposits, cross-border transfers and a Bullish exchange integration for institutional clients.
