Kraken Parent Payward Reports $507 Million Q1 Revenue, Maintains IPO Plan
Payward, the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken, reported adjusted revenue of $507 million for the first quarter of 2026, up 3% from a year earlier, while assets on platform reached $40 billion and funded accounts rose 47% to 6.1 million. The company said it continued to expand through acquisitions including Backed, Magna, Bitnomial and Reap, while maintaining plans for a future initial public offering.
The update follows earlier reports that Payward cut 150 jobs as part of an optimization effort ahead of a planned IPO. Those reports also said the listing may be pushed to 2027 as weaker digital-asset prices weighed on the company.
