Armada Raises $230 Million at $2 Billion Valuation to Build Arizona Factory
Armada, a builder of modular AI data centers, raised $230 million in a Series B round at a $2 billion valuation. The financing was co-led by Overmatch, 8090 Industries and BlackRock, while Johnson Controls also invested and signed a manufacturing deal with the company.
Armada plans to build a 400,000-square-foot Arizona factory, called Galleon Forge One, that is expected to create more than 500 jobs. Production is set to begin this summer with Leviathan, its megawatt-scale modular data center designed to be deployed near power sources and run AI workloads on-site.
