Anthropic has agreed terms on a $30 billion fundraising at a $900 billion valuation, with Greenoaks, Sequoia Capital, Altimeter Capital and Dragoneer set to co-lead the round. The deal is expected to close this month.
Earlier reports had described the financing as advanced talks to raise more than $30 billion at a valuation above $900 billion, but without a signed term sheet or a lead investor. The latest agreement identifies the lead investors and marks a more concrete stage in the fundraising.
