Anthropic Seeks $30 Billion Raise at More Than $900 Billion Valuation
Anthropic is in early talks with investors to raise at least $30 billion in fresh financing at a pre-money valuation of more than $900 billion, setting the stage for what could be its largest funding round yet. The round could close by the end of May, but no term sheet has been signed, no lead investor has been named and existing backers have discussed allocations.
If completed at that level, the financing would more than double Anthropic's $350 billion valuation from February. Anthropic is also considering an IPO as soon as October, and the proposed valuation would surpass OpenAI's $852 billion mark from March.
