Saylor 'Back to Work' Message Revives Expectations of Another Strategy Bitcoin Buy
Michael Saylor's 'Back to work. $BTC' message revived expectations that Strategy is preparing another bitcoin purchase, a fresh public cue after recent questions about whether the company might sell some of its holdings. The remark follows management comments that any sales would be limited, while the company would continue to buy more Bitcoin than it sells.
Chief Executive Officer Phong Le said earlier that bitcoin sales would be considered only under specific conditions, including funding the 11.5% dividend on Strategy's STRC preferred stock or for tax optimization, and only if they were accretive to common shareholders under the firm's 'Bitcoin per Share' metric. Saylor later said that if Strategy sold one bitcoin it would buy 10 to 20 more, framing any disposal as a tactical financing tool rather than a broader change in its accumulation approach.
