businesscompany-earnings 3 posts · 3 accounts

Tyson Foods raised its full-year profit outlook after strong protein demand helped offset continued weakness in its beef business. The company said it expects fiscal-year adjusted operating income of $2.2 billion to $2.4 billion and sales growth of 2% to 4%.

In the second quarter, adjusted earnings were 87 cents a share on sales of $13.65 billion, ahead of analyst estimates of 79 cents and $13.58 billion. Tyson kept capital spending at about $700 million and said net interest expense should be about $365 million, down from a prior view of about $370 million.
