Bipartisan Bills Would Bar Federal Funding for Universities With Foreign Research Ties
Senator Rick Scott and Representatives Elise Stefanik and Josh Gottheimer introduced bipartisan legislation that would bar universities from receiving federal research-and-development funding for five years if they take research money from China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Qatar, Turkey, Cuba or Venezuela.
The package would also deny federal funding to colleges that operate branch campuses in those countries or accept foreign research money in sensitive fields such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology and quantum computing.

@mrbcyberAdversarial countries should not be allowed to use US Universities for research. China has actually funded research to help develop its mass surveillance systems. So there are solid moral reasons to stop this kind of funding from the CCP.
