BitGo CEO Challenges Project Eleven’s 2030 Bitcoin Wallet Threat Claim
BitGo Chief Executive Officer Mike Belshe pushed back against a warning from post-quantum security firm Project Eleven that quantum computing could threaten Bitcoin wallet security by 2030. Belshe argued the warning came from a company whose business model depends on public concern over quantum computing.
Project Eleven has said the bigger challenge for Bitcoin is coordination rather than technology alone: shifting to post-quantum cryptography would require users, exchanges, custodians and miners to migrate simultaneously.
