Kalshi Raises $1 Billion at $22 Billion Valuation as Trading Volume Climbs
Kalshi has raised $1 billion in a funding round led by Coatue, valuing the prediction-markets platform at $22 billion. Morgan Stanley, Sequoia Capital and Andreessen Horowitz were among the participating investors, and the round roughly doubles the valuation Kalshi secured five months ago, marking its third financing in seven months.
Kalshi said it now accounts for more than 90% of U.S. prediction-market volume and that annualized trading volume reached $178 billion over the past six months. The company also said institutional trading volume rose 800% in that period, with adoption broadening among hedge funds and asset managers.
