Alphabet Adds $420 Billion as Cloud Growth Tops Rivals

Alphabet Inc. shares climbed to an all-time high after first-quarter results beat expectations, adding about $420 billion to the Google parent’s market value and leaving it roughly 6% behind Nvidia Corp. Revenue was $109.9 billion, ahead of the $106.98 billion estimate, while net income surged 81% from a year earlier.
