Report Says Nvidia Taps Nanya for Vera Rubin Memory
Nvidia has chosen Nanya Technology to supply low-power DRAM for its Vera Rubin servers, according to a media report, marking the first time a Taiwanese memory-chip maker has entered Nvidia’s AI server supply chain. The report said Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. helped Nanya secure the business through its CoWoS advanced packaging technology, which combines compute and memory chips.
Each Vera Rubin motherboard can hold as many as 32 LPDDR slots alongside HBM4, with the low-power memory intended to improve energy efficiency.
