UK FCA Issues DLT Guidance, Introduces Direct-to-Fund Model

cryptocrypto-regulationworldeurope 2 posts · 2 accounts

The FCA, the UK regulator, issued new DLT guidance and introduced an optional direct-to-fund model for tokenized assets, a move that clears a path for tokenized funds. The framework is designed to simplify blockchain integration while leaving investor protection unchanged.

Under the direct-to-fund model, investors would be able to deal directly with a fund whether it is traditional or tokenized. The FCA said the new rules are intended to make fund dealing more efficient alongside its tokenization guidance.
