FBI Probes Possible Links Among 10 Missing or Dead Sensitive-Lab Workers
CBS reported that the FBI is leading an effort to determine whether there are connections among 10 cases involving scientists and staff who are missing or deceased after working at sensitive nuclear or space-technology laboratories.
The report said the Department of Energy and the Department of War will coordinate with the FBI. National Nuclear Security Administration officials described the pattern at high-security labs as “eyebrow raising,” noting that personnel can become targets of foreign espionage.
