Eli Lilly to Acquire Kelonia Therapeutics for Up to $7 Billion
Eli Lilly said it has entered a definitive agreement to acquire Kelonia Therapeutics for up to $7 billion in cash. The deal includes an upfront payment of $3.25 billion, with additional payments tied to clinical, regulatory and commercial milestones.
The acquisition gives Lilly access to Kelonia’s in vivo gene delivery platform to advance in vivo CAR-T cell therapies. Kelonia’s lead program, KLN-1010, is a Phase 1 one-time intravenous CAR-T gene therapy for multiple myeloma, giving Lilly a potential new blood cancer treatment program.
