Iran Repatriates Body Of Su-24 Pilot Shot Down In March Al Udeid Attack, Leaving Three Missing
Iran’s Air Force confirmed the recovery and imminent repatriation of Brigadier General Majid Kazemi, a pilot whose Su-24MK strike aircraft was shot down by Qatari F-15QAs on March 2. Military authorities stated Kazemi’s remains will be returned to Iran within hours following a bombing raid on the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.
The defense ministry added that it is still searching for three other pilots who went down during the same strike. The Al Udeid facility hosts major United States military forces in the region, and Iranian statements reported that the Iranian aircraft caused extensive damage during the operation.
