Tesla Buys 90% of Arizona Solar and Battery Project Power for Supercharger Network
Tesla signed a long-term agreement to purchase 90% of the output from Project Sterling, a solar and battery facility in Arizona. The deal secures 458 MW of peak solar generation and 360 MW of four-hour battery storage from the KKR-backed project.
Developer ContourGlobal will supply the electricity, which will be used to supply renewable energy to Tesla’s Supercharger network. The facility is scheduled to begin operations in 2028.
