U.S. Treasury Sanctions Six Individuals and Entities in China, India, Russia and Iran for Supporting Mahan Air
The U.S. Treasury designates six individuals and entities in China, India, Russia and Iran for acting as sales agents and providing logistical support to Mahan Air, an Iranian carrier already under sanctions.
Washington alleges the airline has transported weapons, drones and personnel for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the department will continue to identify and cut off networks providing financial services, logistics or commercial support from the U.S. financial system.
